Antonietta Canna

Antonietta Canna received her M. S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Naples Federico II (2013) with the thesis on biomedical imaging examination of cellular cytoskeleton under mechanical stresses. From 2013 to 2015, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Naples Federico II for the PRIN project (Ref. PRIN 2010XE5L2R) "Processing of Magnetic Resonance data for evaluating cerebral circulatory parameters, accumulation of toxic metabolites and for the automatic extraction of pathophysiological information and for intracranial segmentation in patients with neurodegenerative diseases". She received her II level Master degree in Advanced techniques for neuroimaging from the University of Salerno in 2015 and her Ph.D. in Translational Medicine with the thesis entitled as "Functional MRI Study of Human Gustatory Cortex: Technological Advancements and Applications to Basic and Clinical Neurosciences" from the University of Salerno (Italy) in 2019. She worked on morphological and functional MRI implementing, for the latter project, new technological and data analysis strategies for the mapping of the brain gustatory area in humans and to investigate the physiological basis of taste perception. Since July 2015, she has been working at the University of Salerno and since September 2018 she has worked at the Centre for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR) in Minneapolis, MN, USA as an exchange student of the European RISE project. The aim of this project is to study the human brain tissue microstructures with a novel multiparametric approach.
