Fabrizio Esposito

Fabrizio Esposito graduated cum laude in Electronics Engineering (Bioengineering program) at the University of Naples "Federico II" (Italy). In 2004, he received the title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" (Italy) after defending a PhD thesis on the non-inferential statistical analysis of neuroimaging time series and its application to the in-vivo study of the central nervous system by functional magnetic resonance imaging. After his doctorate, he has been post-doctoral research fellow at the Universities of Basel and Bern (Switzerland) and assistant and associate professor of Neuroscience Methods at Maastricht University (The Netherlands). Since 2013, Fabrizio Esposito is associate professor of Bioengineering and he is currently affiliated with the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Dentistry "Scuola Medica Salernitana" of the University of Salerno (Italy) and he is currently in charge of the academic courses of "Biomedical Statistics and Informatics", "Principles of Biomedical Instrumentation", "Biomechanics" and "Biomedical Signal and Data Processing". Until May 2019, Fabrizio Esposito has been co-author of more than 250 scientific publications (source: Google Scholar) including more than 160 full-length papers on peer-reviewed international journals indexed on Scopus.com. He has also contributed six book chapters to invited scientific editions from Oxford Press and Springer. His research interests and projects pertain to the study of physiological and pathological mechanisms affecting the in-vivo observation of neuronal networks in the living brain using neuroimaging methods, with particular interest in functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging.
